The seedwiki book is no longer being updated for new versions of seedwiki. We are leaving it in place because it provides some documentation for wikis running under some of the older seedwiki templates. The new user manual for seedwiki is now included inside of each wiki, as a set of 'how to' pages. Any instructions or documentation you find here in the seedwikibook may be out of date.

edit this page
which creates the "edit page" link.
then comes the name of the widget: _edit_page_link
then a separator, a straight bar: |
label=edit this page
"label" is the name of the value. "edit this page" is the actual value to use.
The second argument is:
title=open a visual editor to make changes on this page
The title is the text that is used for a tool-tip when you hold your mouse over the link. If you want to change what displays when people hold their mouse over your edit link you can replace "open a visual editor to make changes on this page" with the text you want to use.
You can copy and paste widgets, move them around on the page (even move them to a different page) as long as you copy or move the whole widget, including its square brackets.
seedwiki is a collaboration
seedwiki will grow with its use, and everyone who uses seedwiki contributes to what it is, what it can do, and what it will become.
- If you think there should be information in the seedwiki book that is not there, then make a new page and put it in.Thanks for helping make seedwiki a better place.
