Partners: Partners such as groups organizations take the responsibility to promote Knowville to their members. Their only costs are their promotional activities. For example, a school participating in Knowville creates a loca committee to guide the project, formulate local rules, implement the initiative, and designate a person to report the results to the main Knowville website. Local costs of doing so are the responsibility of the local organization. Professional associations such a a school library association take the reponsibility to endorse the initiative, appoint a committee to formulate "rules" for association members, advertise and encourage participation, and devise a way to get results reported to the national website for updating the tote boards. The organization takes credit for its contribution to the progress of the initiative as a whole. Interested partners should contact
