About Us
David V. Loertscher, the creator of Knowville, is a professor of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. He is a past president of the American Association of School Librarians. During his tour as president, a major reading initiative known as Count on Reading was sponsored by AASL throughout the United States.
