All the Parts of seedwiki are Wiki Pages
We have made as much of seedwiki editable by each wiki's contributors as we can. Wiki contributors can change the content of wiki pages and create new wiki pages. Almost all the parts of a wiki on seedwiki are actually wiki pages. We call these pages that make up "parts" of the wiki "system pages". For example, the menu is just a page named "_menu" in the wiki. The style sheet is just a page named "_style_sheet". All of these pages are editable by all of the wiki's contributors. In most cases this ability of all the wiki's contributors to work on all of its parts will be as benificial as their ability to work on the regular pages is. In some special cases the wiki owners may wish to restrict the editing of system pages.
If you want to restrict editing of these 'system' pages you and you have any one of the paid account levels you can simply 'lock' those pages and then only the wiki owner will be able to change them. If you do not need the features in any of the paid account levels you can pay a small monthly fee for each wiki that you want to set so that only the wiki owner can make changes in its 'system' pages (menu, header, footer, style sheet, etc.) To set a wiki so that only the wiki owner can edit the 'system' pages go to the wiki's directory and click on the 'control panel and how to' tab. Click on the 'limit system page editing to wiki owner' link in the control panel section of the page. You will find buttons there that will take you to PayPal where you can set up the monthly subscription for adding this feature to your wiki. (Note: wiki's started before 7/6/2006 have the 'system' pages locked, so that only the wiki owner can change them.)
