JVTeam is all about solutions, problem-solving, and market simulation.  The team focuses on the matrix of human relations created by overlaying multicultural issues with the multiple intelligences.  "Multicultural" comes from the many cultures and contexts is which the members have learned to solve problems, and "multiple intelligences" are the domains of intelligence that they use to unravel blockages to creative solutions.  The team finds  its greatest success among non-literate market segments because non-literate  people are most approachable and least arrogant about their education systems.  And this really is the basis of their approach:  talk through issues, stresses, relationships, and the business environment; then use team games, team challenges, and team projects to keep participants talking through goals, obstacles. resources and plans until there is some resemblance of consensus.  Then come the weekly discussions by the coach with each team member, until all agree that the local team is self-sufficient in problem-solving in both the technical and the relational aspects.
A strong element for JVTeam is reading massive amounts of literature in order to learn and understand better the past and future of each focus community.  The JVTeam library, both real and virtual, would put to shame the resources of many medium-sized cities, and the members claim to be familiar with every item in their collection.  Another strong element is strong connectedness to trusted friends (many of them former participants in JVTeam workshops) in most countries of the world who serve as their eyes and ears and provide foreknowledge of trends and prodromes. This fresh  perspective keeps JVTeam predicting and seizing the future better than most multinational corporations.  Strong outsourcers, TG has backup teams to its backup teams for always-up systems to provide quick response to strategic problem-solving opportunities.  But, in the field, JVTeam is surprisingly low-tech, leading workshops with only a level of resources that would be replicable by any of the participants.

According to the director, "Any participant should have the capacity to turn around and conduct his or her own workshop with exactly the same degree of resources that we used.  It is foolish to depend on high-maintenance or text-based tools for work with non-literate communicators because their preferred communication routes are stories, drama, and music.  Yes, at JVTeam we master new technologies, but we communicate in a way suited to local reproducibility by our field partners."
J, child of a General Motors Overseas Operations trouble-shooter, lived in twelve cities before he was eighteen, including his senior year in high school in Iran.  Moving frequently gave him a great range of experiences in developing personal networks, and his networking accelerated during eleven years in the Middle East as a business agent for a number of relief,  development and commercial entities.  Learning to enter a new community and quickly build a network seems to be in the genes of the JVTeam family, and their combined networking multiplies the range of contacts built quickly.

They live localization, as global players.
