1) You can require that people have a seedwiki account (can be a free account) and be logged in to their account in order to edit pages. With this option everyone can see your wiki pages, and anyone with a seedwiki account that is logged in can edit them.
Only Logged In Users Can Edit If you check this box, only logged in visitors will be able to edit pages in this wiki. All visitors will still be able to view pages.
2) You can require that people know a password before they can see your wiki pages. Once they give the password they will be able to see and edit all pages in the wiki that are not \ locked or hidden.
Password to enter This is the password for this wiki. If you set a password only those people who know the password will be able to visit the wiki.
Confirm Password Please enter the password a second time to confirm your choice.
3) You anyone to see the pages in your wiki, but require that people who want to edit the pages know the wiki's password. In this case the password will be required only when people try to edit a page, and anybody will be able to merely view the pages.
Password to edit (anyone can view pages) This is the password for editing this wiki. If you set a password only those people who know the password will be able to edit this wiki's pages, but anyone will be able to view them.

4) You can limit the ability of anybody but the wiki owner to change the wiki's header, menu, footer, right bar or style sheet pages. This option is turned on by default for all wikis created by blue accounts or higher.
design is owner controlled If this box is checked the _menu, _header, _footer, _rightbar, and _style_sheet pages in this wiki will only be editable by one of the wiki owners.
5) You can set the wiki so that contributors can temporarily lock the page they are editing to prevent other people from editing the same page at the same time. These edit locks are set by clicking on a button at the top of the edit page and only last until the person who has locked the page saves their changes. If by some chance a person locks the page and then never saves their changes the lock will time-out and disappear in 30 minutes.

1) You can create a members only wiki: members can view and edit pages. Only people that have seedwiki accounts (can be free accounts) and that the wiki owner has made members of the wiki can view or edit its pages.
Members Only If you check this box, only logged in users that have been made 'members' of this wiki will be allowed to view or edit pages. If you check this box then any 'password' that you have assigned this wiki will no longer be used. A wiki cannot have a general 'password' and be check 'members only' at the same time.

Public Pages/Only Members Can Edit If you check this box, only people with seedwiki accounts that have been made members of this wiki by the wiki owner will be able to edit pages. All visitors will still be able to view pages.
3) You can create a wiki that anyone can edit, but their changes only get published once you approve them.
Delayed Publishing/Changes get reviewed before being published If you check this box, anyone will be able to edit pages, but those changes will only be published once the wiki owner(s) reviews them. Any changes made, whether approved or not, are kept on the versions page.
