TIP 2 - LINKING
There are several ways to link.
1 - text link to another page, as in a menu
2 - text link within a page, eg GO TO BOTTOM OF PAGE or GO TO TOP
3 - picture link to another page
GPC provides only links of the first kind.
ad 1a DESIGN FIRST, THEN PUT LINK(S) IN
- make your page design (or menu design)
- highlight the word(s) that should function as a link
- click on the link button, a small screen opens
- the selected link text should appear in the top line
- using the radio button select the kind of link you want to apply
you can choose out of four different kinds
- if necessary fill in the URL (the adress) to the page where the link
should lead to
- click OK and you're ready
ad 1b PUT LINKS WHERE CURSOR FLASHES
- put the cursor where ever you want to insert a link
- click on the link button, a small screen opens
- fill in the link name in the top line of the screen
- using the radio button select the kind of link you want to apply
you can choose out of four different kinds
- if necessary fill in the URL (the adress) to the page where the link
should lead to
- click OK and you're read
ad 2 LINK WITHIN A PAGE
ad 3 PICTURE LINK
At this moment this cannot done directly by clicking a few buttons. Fortunately the kind people of Google allow us to tinker a bit with the HTML-code. Following these steps it's pretty easy to insert a picture that funtions as a link.
