Ken,  Back again for another school year.  When I click into my wiki, it won't allow me to make changes.  I need to change the administration page because my email has changed.  How can I do that, and I want to set a new password that just my students can use that is different from the administrative one.  Can you help?  Debbie Pfotzer - dpfotzer@colonial.k12.de.us

Newbie problem solved

It appears that the problem with the invisible page is that the other custom paper user simply failed the Turing test.  He didn't essay topic pay attention to upper and lower case.  Problem solved.

Newbie problem - April 13, 2010 - new page not visible to others

Hi;

I am happy to have discovered seedwiki.  It is just what I need to help me and my weaver friends to manage our essay writing work together at the guild essay teaching.  I have created a test page:  http://the_seed_wiki_book.seedwiki.com/wiki/GuildeTisserLachine .  My problem is that when one of my friends tries to view this page, she is shown the Turing test ... repeatedly, even after having answered the question.  Is there something that I need to do in order to make my page public?

Thank-you for you help.  I suppose that I will find any response posted on this feed-back page.

Jeff

Using the Search box returns 'nothing was entered' no matter what term is searched for.

Thanks!

New problem

I think I already had an account but couldn't log in so I made a new account as Richard Karpinski at Dick@cfcl.com and edited the front page of Yi-Tan which worked fine except that it lost my name in the versions report. My second edit fixed that so now I will remove my extra change while leaving my name in the Versions.

I thik it is wise to require login to modify any page, but then how did it lose my name when I edited? Is there a race condition from making a new account to editing a page?

Dick

Hello Ken,

having read your friendly offer to "reboot" old Wikis, please reboot

my following wikis:

http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/jins23ste/jins23ste

Actually I just need the contents for a couple of days, to archive them for my own collection. It doesn't need to be a lasting 'reboot'

thank you very much,

Geert Vandeweyer
