Many times the login box don't appears so we cannot login.
I also cannot visualize many parts of the screen,it's too wide in my monitor and i cannot find the place to do login.

My wiki http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/ajayu is getting squished. The right column is much wider than it should be and all the links aren't listing. The wiki is right handed so the left and right columns are on the right side. It looks as if something is not loading.

I was using IE 6 at home. I'm using IE 6 now too, and the squish effect is gone this morning, but I'm on a different machine. I'll try this at home tonight which was where I saw "the squish," so browser is not the culprit.

Every time I click on the question mark to fill-in the pages, it goes back to the Spring 2009 page and says "Wikipage not found." I'm signed-in as the owner, so I'm not sure how to fix this. The German education system – at the moment – is in a stage of transition with new, more interactive methods entering schools and universities.
I really want to implement some of them into my own teaching. Hopefully I’ll be able to encourage my future colleagues to do the same and ask school administrators to pay for the more extended access possible on your site.

On a related note, it's also annoying that FKCeditor affects code between <pre>...</pre> tags. In "Text Area" editor you type:
<pre>

If you switch to FCKeditor, linefeed characters are replaced by <br /> tags (among other transformations) so that your code becomes a single long string:
<pre>10 FOR A = 0 TO 255<br />20 PRINT A, CHR$(A)<br />30 NEXT A</pre>
When you have a long <pre>...</pre> text transformed by FKCeditor, editing it again in Text Area editor becomes a nightmare.
Text between <pre>...</pre> tags should be left as intact as possible. Emerson Costa. 2008-11-25.
Emerson, yes, the FCK editor can be annoying.... i try to not get involved in trying to re-write its source code... although i could, since it is open source.... as i have more than enough problems at the level of seedwiki's code to keep my occupied. 2008-12-1

Hello again, Ken. The developer who attended my suggestion could not reproduce the problem. It seems that it doesn't occur in the most recent version of FCK editor. Just try it at their experimentation page. You can switch as you wish between WYSIWYG and Source Code modes, and no linefeed character is converted into a <br /> tag within <pre>...</pre> tags! Maybe downloading and installing the most recent FCK editor into Seedwiki will do? Emerson Costa. 2008-12-23.
Hello. I am Brazilian and need page names with diacritics (acute, grave, tilde, cedilla). When I edit the source code of a page ("Text Area" editor) I can create a link like [informação], and it is saved as such, with "çã" as the real characters, and then I create the page. The problem comes when later I edit the linking page in WYSIWYG mode ("FKCeditor"). The editor renders those letters as HTML entities, changing the source code into [informação] and consequently spoiling the link. Could you change FKCeditor so that doesn't change characters into HTML entities? Thank you. Emerson Costa, 2008-11-19.

I created a new page with the _header title, and it changed my header to include system stuff, but those pages were empty. " wikipage not found." Hi Ken, I clicked on safe mode and since then I'm no longer able to switch back to normal mode. It says "when you have fixed your page, click on normal mode at the end of the page". But there is nothing to be found... Thanky for replying.

Christine.. thanks for the message.... actually the problem is that safe mode was not being activated... so you were always in "normal" mode. I've fixed the link now and it will activate safe mode. Safe mode is intended to be a last resort if you do something to your wiki's pages that you can't fix using the normal menus... safe mode gives your wiki a temporary header, menu and footer that you can use to fix the problem. --ken tyler

Hello. I am not able to edit most of the pages in my wiki, www.Jnealson.com. When I attempt to edit a page, I get the error message of "This page is locked and cannot be edited." A few of the pages I can edit, but not most of them. I am logged in as owner while attempting this. What else should I attempt? When I click on the directory for my wiki, I can see all of the pages listed, but there is not a row of checkboxes for lock/unlock/hide, etc.

Oh great wiki advisors in the sky... One of my students updated a page on our wiki "stage_management_at_ccm" but she's rather inexperienced in wiki and managed to misplace the entire wiki. I tried looking back in "versions" on the main page and nothing prior to her edit shows up. Please help! This is the problem page...

Ken, I have had my wiki for years, and you may remember the Pfotzwiki22 wiki that my students have been using. However, when I went on to use it this school year, it wouldn't allow me to edit the page because of the "increased spam" problem. I can get to the edit page, but I have to enter my password. Debbie, the password form has been having problems lately... but i think i have it fixed now. The "increased spam" message appears not because the wiki has a password, but because you are not logged into a seedwiki account. If your students get it they can either start their own free accounts, or you can start a single free "student" account and give them all the email and password so they can log in.

Am having trouble retrieving data from page form. Instructions indicate using widget will retrieve the data. This returns what looks like header data but nothing else. Couldn't find any other documentation on that widget so don't know if the widget needs more than that. The PageName I used is just the page that includes both the form and the widget. while doing it i found that it seemed to have a password for editing pages... but that the password was missing
i reestablished the password and send you the new password to the email address in your account.

maybe I missed a change, but some time ago in the wii's page directory each page had a "+" sign before it that you could use to expand some subitems, such as files. I don't get these "+" now.
Is that correct and if yes how do I access a pages files? Pressing the link "upload files" just gets me an "error in #session.info.wikiurlname#"

I created a new page, "Lompoc Film Club", because I could not edit an old one of the same name (some confusion over my not having had an actual account with Seed Wiki previously precluded my being able to edit it, even once I established an account). Now I have two web pages of the same name presumably floating around. How do I get rid of the obsolete one?

I am not sure if this is a bug, but comments to the discussion page on our wiki are not getting recorded. Is there any kind of tutorial on how to use the discussion feature?

Right now we have the free account so everyone is logging in under one username and password - is there anyway to make it so multiple people can have access under their own username or does that necessitate a feature we would need to pay for?

susan, i'll look at the problem with discussion... you can have each user create a free account of their own at no extra cost... then when they are logged in the edits will be attributed to each individual

I am new to seedwiki, so I'm not sure if I have a bug or if I am doing something wrong, but I have four issues.
1) Because I am using my seedwiki, wiki100, in my class, I created the wiki page with my "professional" account and login, but I also joined the wiki with my own personal account and login, so that I could experience the wiki from my students' perspective. When I try to login with my professional account, however, seedwiki does not recognize my email and password (I saved the original seedwiki email, so I know I am using the correct log in information). I know that I can edit the page using my personal login, but I need to have owner privileges. Does an account expire if it is not used for two months, and is there anyway to reinstate my original account?
2) I edited my "Dictionaries" page on my seedwiki, wiki100, last night. Today, I went to edit the Dictionaries page again, but now the "edit," "versions," "links," and "discussion" links at the top are missing. How can edit these pages without those links? Better yet, how can I get those links back?
3) Also, I tried to edit the wiki100 menu, but it told me I am not the owner (b/c I logged in with my personal account). Can a non-owner add an owner?
4) Is it possible that when my student logged in and added information to the homepage my editing powers were changed?

I had created a wiki called "chroniken" that has onlya dummy entry page. I used it for testing. Now I want to delete it (this whole wiki set). But when I push the button in the control panel to do so, nothing much happens (even if logged in properly as admin).

maybe I am wrong. But I also can not get to the wiki directory from my user who is owner of the wiki when he is logged in with the error message Tomas described below. I can use it without error when I am logged in with a friends user and I can use the directory when I am not logged in at all.
So actually being logged in is "bad"...
And acutally there seems to be no limitation to non logged in users to edit pages.
Can you help with a bugfix and some explanation on what is the situation? Your comments to Tomas seem to say that I am not supposed to be able to edit when not logged in and that then the directory should work.

It is a real pain to have to be logged in to be able to edit a page... but that change seems to have stabilized seedwiki. I'm going to leave things that way for a while and see if it remains stable when the sql injection scripts come back around.

I am trying to delete my Reformed Marriage Encounter wiki, but it is not deleting. It is still there! Also, I have a blue account and should be able to password protect my wikis. I have tried 3 times tonight to password protect OMS School Improvement wiki and it is not working. I am getting an error message. This is a critical school wiki that I need password protected. The last time I checked the site it was password protected, but now that protection has disappeared.

Beverley, I fixed the "delete wiki" button so that it works, and I also deleted you Reformed Marriage Encounter wiki. The password function is working on seedwiki, it may be that the password entry for your OMS school Improvement wiki got blanked out as part of my attempts to deal with all the stuff the recent sql injection attack stuck into the database. If so, I'm sorry. Try reapplying your password and see if the wiki then functions correctly. Thanks for reporting these problems...it helps me deal with the aftermath of both the attack and my efforts to prevent such attacks in the future.

I haven't had time to look at help issues while I've been trying to get seedwiki back on line. But when I access it using Windows, an editing palette appears above the edit box and I don't see the raw html code. Is there something I can do on my Mac to change views and make editing easier for me?
