Part 1 Research:
Go to the library homepage, http://www.sbhsd.k12.ca.us/sbhslib/library.htm. Click on SIRS. Get USER ID and PASSWORD from teacher or library staff if accessing off campus.
With a partner, choose a topic from “Your Top 10,” or from the list under “More Issues.”
Write a description of the issues related to your topic. Why is it controversial? You can use the “Overview” paragraph from SIRS, but be sure to state the overview in your own words.
Person 1: Find what you think are the three best arguments to support the PRO side. For each argument, write two concrete details from articles to support the argument. Complete the “Source” information for each article you use.
