Library Technology Troubleshooting

  1. Step One: Check for live animal infestations.
  2. Step Two: As always, breathe deep, shut down and restart.


All Computers/Tech/AV. All Problems:

  1. Check Cables.
  2. Shut down.
  3. Restart. Check. If still a problem you can’t figure out.
  4. In First Class go to Help and Submit Help Request Tickets.


Projector Set-Ups

  1. Check cables.
  2. Restart laptop
  3. Toggle through 3 screen settings on computer using the "FN" key and the Function key with the screen icon on it (usually F8).

 


Copier Trouble Shooting

  • Try another tray (you can select a different one, or take a bad tray out completely)

  • Check tray dials for correct settings ( the dials are on the trays themselves)

 

  • If lines are going through feeder pages, the glass strip needs to be cleaned.

 

  • You can flip up the feeder tray lid and clean the rollers with alcohol.

 

  • Call in service order if broken. Leave note for Supervisor. Service info on all machines:
  • ID# 8D 843 for the office copier
  • ID# FA 154 for public copier in the front of library
  • ID# BR 955 for the public copier in the journal room
