If you are interested in a dark intriguing book that will keep you guessing and make you think, a Chuck Palahniuk book is definately what you want. I discovered him about a year ago, and have gone through a few of his books. Each are unique in their own way as well as unique in themselves. The novel that most intrigues me of his is called
Invisible Monsters. Here's a quick overview. One of the main characters is an extremely beautiful woman who has had her face mangled so badly that she wears a veil to hide her disgusting disfiguration. While in the hospital she meets another very beautiful mysterious woman who is completely intact and a magnet for everyone. Here begins a strange twisted journey of a former beauty and her friend and mentor. Along their way they reap havoc on former friends and lovers all the while touring open houses and stealing perscription drugs to keep them going. If you are in the mood for dissonance and unmelidous, sideways drama I would definately recommend this book to those who would appreciate it.
