Project Management Standard

A project's management  is a specific way of managing a project (i.e. an approach) and generally has a related body of knowledge associated with it.

Given that most project management(PM) practicioners have not collaborated with each other freely over time, a number of PM standards have been created worldwide (see the column on the left).

So far, all standards have been created by private organisations who refuse to ammalgamate with other organisations and therefore hinder the optimisation of a single global standard and related body of knowledge e.g. there is no known attempt to develop a project management standard available under the GNU Free Documentation License.”3?

The range of standards includes the following:

Project Management Institute (PMI)

Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

APM Body of Knowledge 5th ed. (APM - Association for Project Management (UK))
