Help with Sakai

• The Antioch Sakai Address is https://sakai.antioch.edu
• Login for Sakai: The "Username" is the Student's Datatel ID, and the "Password" is the last 4 digits of the student's social security number. If student does not have a social security number, check you know where for additional login information.
  
• If a student is having trouble logging in s/he should contact the Help Desk

Images in Sakai

• Big images in Sakai can cause a range of problems. All graphic images downloaded into Sakai should first be resized for the web.
• For Mac Users: Try to edit the picture using iPhoto. This will allow you to enter pixel size directly (few pixels -> smaller picture). Remember to keep the "constrain proportions" box checked so that the resized image is still in proportion and not distorted.
• For PC Users: You can download a Resize image powertool for XP. Using the Advanced feature, you can set your desired pixel size and create a smaller version of an image
• It is also recommended that you use a jpeg format in Sakai for your image files, as they tend to have smaller file size. Other common formats will still work however (.gif,.bmp,.png, etc). The use of animated images is discouraged.
